STORYBOARDING
DR. COMFORT DIABETIC FOOTWEAR COMMERCIAL
Our purpose was to educate those with diabetes about the potentially serious side effects if their diabetes is left untreated. We chose to offset the serious message with a fun, welcoming script (complete with a crab, pirate and paparazzi). Next, we wanted to visually convey the story's pace and timing to our client. To do so, I created keyframes that were cut into an animatic (shown at right). This presentation worked so well,
we were able to go to production sooner than expected.
Above is the final broadcast version for comparison.

EXOS REFORMABLE FRACTURE BRACE

The benefits of the Exos fracture brace were far superior
to traditional plaster casts. To tell this story we contrasted
a patients’ fears and the limitations of a plaster cast, to the freedom and healing that she would experience in her daily life with the new Exos fracture brace. To help our client visualize the narrative, I broke out the sketchpad.
The storyboard I created not only became the roadmap
to the multi-day shoot, but the process also elevated our relationship with the client. They were really able to see the benefits of approaching a shoot with a solid game plan.

EMPOWR PARTIAL KNEE™ SURGICAL IMPLANT
I chose a modern, sophisticated theme for my storyboard to complement the intricate engineering that designed the EMPOWR Partial Knee™. This implant is the efficiency-based solution for early stage, unicompartmental knee arthritis. In addition to writing and creating the storyboard, I also wrote the headline that was used throughout the campaign “Half is the Whole Solution”
